Country Bike Tour to Tyniec in Krakow
This bike tour begins along the Vistula River on a smooth path and leads you through southern Poland's picturesque countryside. You will pass through age-old woods, see crumbling forts and cycle past some of the lakes that surround Krakow. Upon arrival at Tyniec, you'll have a chance to explore the ancient grounds, take photographs of breathtaking scenery and visit the gift shop, which is full of monk-made products prepared by the monks.
The essence of the tour is a relaxed, scenic country cycle. You'll cover a total of 24 km (about 15 miles) on a ride with an elevation change of 120 meters (about 390 feet). The tour departs in the afternoon and returns in the evening. Keen photographers take note: the country tour will stop at a point overlooking Krakow and is timed to coincide with the sunset.
A backpack is recommended as it will allow you to transport food and water - and perhaps some gifts back from Tyniec.

There is a $6.95 USD processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order. There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown at checkout includes any fuel surcharges, service charges and tax. There are no additional charges, unless otherwise specified.

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.
Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

COVID-19 Protocols Updates
- Facemasks are required in indoor and enclosed spaces, on public transport, in taxis or in an open space where you are unable to maintain a 1.5 meter distance. Wearing mufflers, visors and scarves is not allowed as they do not fulfil their basic function, i.e. protecting you against the virus! Hefty fines can be issued on the spot for violators.
- Please bring your own mask, but if you do not have one, they can be provided.
- When outside, you should keep a 1.5 metre distance from others, unless you are in the same household, a parent with a child under 13 or the carer of a person with a disability or special needs.
This guided tour on a beachcruiser is an ideal way to see a bit of the Polish countryside.
You will be required to sign a liability waiver release and consent form before you take the tour.
Itinerary
This trip heads west along the Vistula River from Krakow's city center. Along the way you will see Pope John Paul II's first home in Krakow. You will hear tales of mongol hordes, devils, and ghosts. The fist half of the trip is very flat, but after you see the benedictine abbey of Tyniec, the ride is though hills and the rural side of Lesser Poland, though viallages where you'll see ruins of fortresses. Finish the day off with a spectacular view of Krakow atop limestone cliffs just as the sun descends to the horizon.
